Laws

One of the reasons why there are laws is to ensure that people are able to obtain the freedoms that they deserve. Although people are to be born with these certain freedoms, there is often the reason for laws to be devised, in order to ensure that these freedoms are never taken away. If it was not for such laws, it makes for less room for those with authority to abuse their power, be it on a governmental level, work relations, or even within a familial environment. The law was established to show all people that there are certain freedoms that people are entitled to have, and if anyone should permit that individual from having his or her freedoms, then that person or group runs a high risk of having his or her own freedoms taken away.

Another reason why laws were created is to obtain justice. With the law being in place, now people have the opportunity at obtaining the justice that they are so seeking out without having to resort to acts of violence. The legal penalties that have been designed by way of law tend to be adequate enough in many instances to assist people in at least working towards the personal internal resolve that they have been seeking out. Depending on the crime that is committed while also decide what is written in the law for the punishment for violation. Although there is some legal wiggle room that judges have in terms of what extent of the law to sentence a person, the laws pretty much give a detailed breakdown as to what the appropriate manner is in which justice may be served.

Laws were also designed to keep the peace. There are many instances in which the government has been able to foresee potential legal issues that could arise, and have therefore, devised laws that combat against this potential. There are also other instances in which these peace laws have been created after a number of ongoing issues alerted the government of a problem that was subject to spiral completely out of control if not properly monitored. With these laws being composed, the government is providing a way for there to be less potential conflict between each other. If anyone is to violate any of these laws, there is slated to be the appropriate resolve that will serve to repair the issue. Sometimes these laws call for the one that was harmed to be made legally whole once again, then there are other instances in which, the laws will serve to make the individual whole, as well as entitle the person to additional damages as a result of another individual or group’s violation of the law.
