Film: "A Tajik Woman"

Video-maker Mehrnaz Saeed-Wafa explores issues of exile and cultural dissonance for Muslim women from Afghanistan and Iran living in the U.S.
Through the voices of four women (including the director's mother), A Tajik woman reflects on the experiences of Muslim immigrants with war, revolution, loss of homeland and conflict with fundamentalist Islamic values. Open discussion follows the efforts to prevent violence and bigotry against Arab and Muslim people.
